FAMILY PRACTICE PHYSICIAN JOINS HEALTHFIRST
(2006-12-07) FAMILY PRACTICE PHYSICIAN JOINS HEALTHFIRST PHYSICIANS AND HEALTHPARK HOSPITAL

November 7, 2006 ? HealthFirst Chief Executive Officer Michael Tankersley has announced that family physician David Young, M.D. has recently joined HealthFirst Physicians of Arkansas, P.A.. Dr. Young, who is the brother of local orthopedic surgeons Mike and Chris Young, will begin treating patients at 1636 Higdon Ferry Road beginning January 1, 2007.
In addition to his aforementioned brothers, he also has five other brothers who are all doctors. Born to a general surgeon and registered nurse, the Young brothers consist of five orthopedic surgeons, one primary care physician, one ER physician and one veterinarian making them the second largest family of doctors in the United States. They also have two sisters who are incidentally not physicians, but a nurse and a teacher.
Dr. Young, a graduate of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, has spent his last 7 years practicing emergency medicine in Searcy and comes to Hot Springs with his wife Holly and two daughters Fedora and Beatrice. ?It?s great to be back where my brothers are and doing family practice. Who knows? Maybe we can recruit another one of our brothers to join us one day,? stated Dr. Young.
He will be practicing at all three local hospitals making him the only family practitioner with admitting privileges at HealthPark Hospital. ?We believe David will be a huge asset to our organization, to HealthPark Hospital and to the entire community. We are very proud to add him to our team?, stated Michael Tankersley, CEO.
